Saturday - August 8: The Wedding Day

The wedding is just outside of Bonn in Oedingen (Remagen),  pronounced (Ooo-Ding-In), the village that Kimberly grew up in. There are a few ways to get to Oedingen – see below.

The Afternoon

3:30 – 4:00 pm: Please arrive at Kimberly’s Grandma’s garden, where we will have the ceremony

4:00 pm: Ceremony

6:00 pm: Cocktails and photos

7:00 pm: We will walk up the hill (about 5 minutes) to the Oedingen community center (OCC) to dance, play wedding games and have dinner

When you are ready to leave, there will be a shuttle running between Oedingen and Bad Godesberg. If you don’t want to wait for the shuttle, you can take the bus back, details below.

Dresscode:

We want everyone to be comfortable and have a good time. We ask for no jeans. Since the wedding will be on grass and we don’t want anyone sinking into the lawn, no heels. Otherwise come as you see fit. Anything from a ball gown to business casual works.

Getting to/from Oedingen:

BY CAR: Drive yourself or take a taxi/Uber if you choose. The drive is about 20 minutes from the Bad Godesberg neighborhood, where we have hotel rooms blocked. There are plenty of parking spots at the OCC.

SHUTTLE:  We will be hiring a bus that will meet somewhere near Bad Godesberg to shuttle folks up. Details will be updated as they become available. Please check back. After the wedding, we will also have an on-demand shuttle service back to Bad Godesberg whenever you get tired from dancing.

BUS: There is regular bus service from Bad Godesberg to Oedingen. Bus 856 leaves from the main street in Bad Godesberg and takes 35 minutes to arrive. The reverse is also true.
